AdSignal is a Chrome extension that scans Meta Ad Library and Google Ads Transparency Center pages, captures screenshots of ad creatives, and exports the results to Excel and HTML reports. AdSignal has no backend server and no account system — everything runs locally inside your own Chrome browser.
Ad creative data. When you click "Scan Ads on This Page" on a supported site, AdSignal reads that page's content to capture ad screenshots and metadata (headline, description, CTA, format, category, etc.). This data is stored only in your browser's local extension storage and is never transmitted to AdSignal, its developer, or any third party by default.
Nothing else. AdSignal does not collect personally identifiable information, health data, financial data, location, browsing/web history, or user activity (clicks, keystrokes, etc.). It does not track you across sites and has no analytics or telemetry of any kind.
AdSignal includes an opt-in feature that reads the on-screen text of a captured ad creative using an AI vision model. This feature is off by default and only activates if you explicitly choose it and supply your own API key.
AdSignal does not sell, rent, or share data with third parties, except as described above for the optional Creative Insights feature — and even then, only the specific image you ask it to read, sent directly by your own browser using your own credentials.
All scanned data is stored locally in your browser and remains there until you export it, clear it using the "Clear saved results" button in the extension, or uninstall the extension (which removes all locally stored data along with it).
AdSignal requests the minimum browser permissions needed for its single purpose: reading and screenshotting the active tab when you initiate a scan on a supported site, saving exported files to your Downloads folder, and storing scan results locally.
